Tucker
PEN PORTRAIT:
Ian studied piano and the rudiments of music at the
Garjulo School of Music under the direction of Eileen Smith and Elsie Garjulo.
He joined the Ecumaniacs in 1982 and became their musical director in 1984.
Ian has worked in many musical areas, his favourite past theatrical projects
have included: Scrooge, The Owl and the Pussycat, Grease, The Wiz, David
Who? and Cinderella (Welsh National Opera production). In 1988 Ian played
for the Arnolfini's production of "Woden's Dyke" and in 1989 played with the
"Water's Edge" ensemble at St George's Brandon Hill as part of the BBC's
lunchtime concert series. He has played in many major South West studios, and
has recorded with local bands "April's Child", "Easy Street" and "The Tiny World
Of Modern Science".
