Lianne Brown-Martin
PEN PORTRAIT:
A newcomer to the group in 2007, but no stranger to the spotlight. Lianne has
always been keen to take part in anything theatrical and hit the catwalk at a
very young age for a friend's clothing line. Following as a May Day Princess she
got to ride the carnival float before dancing round a maypole! At the age of 8,
Lianne left Milton Keynes to spend the rest of her youth in Devon, where she
studied GCSE Drama, A-level Theatre Studies and performed pantomimes with her
local am-dram group.
For years her family had to put up with her constant howls and screeches, as she
was tenacious to believe that although completely tone deaf, one day she would
sing beautifully. Encouragement from friends kept her practicing (much to her
brother's disgust) and before long she became a Karaoke Queen!
In 2000 Lianne moved to Bristol to study a Degree in Graphic Design. After 3
years of study, the city and a rather gorgeous man won her heart. So, she set up
home with a multitude of pets and a very enduring boyfriend. She then spent her
days trying to build a career as well as a house and needed a way to escape....
so here we find her.
"The Ecumaniacs welcomed me into their colourful group, where I have met a
fantastical array of new friends. I am really looking forward to future pantos...
if they will have me back!"
Lianne's Motto: Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land
amongst the stars.
