MY ROLE IN THE GROUP
| I joined the Ecumaniacs in 1993 and
have played various roles both onstage and backstage. 1994 - Played a villager (totally nervewracking!!!) 1995 - Played a herald called Wispa! 1996 - Played Buttons (was also on the committee as Publicity Officer) 1997 - Played a Palace Genie AND Jimmy the village idiot (typecast!) 1998 - Musical Director (and Publicity Officer again) 1999 - No panto performed! 2000 - Other commitments prevented participation, but kept website up to date! 2001 - Played Porthos the musketeer. 2002 - Part of the lighting team - operated a followspot. 2003 - Plenty to do! Played the ladybird and Scampers the mouse (also did publicity, design/printing of tickets and compiling the programme, as well as helping out the musical director!) 2004 - No panto performed! 2005 - A first for me - I was the dame!!! 2006 - A young looking Baron Hardup with daughters older than I am! 2007 - Another first for me - a baddie - Abanazar ! 2008 - No panto performed! I decided in 2008 that after 15 years, I had done all that I wanted to on stage and found it increasingly difficult to learn lines effectively so have left the group, but I will still keep in touch as I have made great friends over the years and I will still pop along to watch a performance if I can :) |
